UAD TITLES |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
It takes 5 "legs" (scores) in the same division to earn a title - meaning if you attend an event and sign your dog up for 3 Splashes, and your dog gets 3 scores within the same division, your dog will have earned 3 "legs" towards his title. Each Splash = 1 leg (your dog gets 2 jumps per Splash, and we record the best jump of the two) as long as the dog jumps off the dock on his own will. (We do not allow a dog to be pushed in under any circumstances... in fact, you will be asked to leave the event if you mistreat your dog in any way!) FYI... FINALS DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS LEGS/TITLES. UAD Titles reset each calendar year. The UAD calendar year starts on the first day after Ultimate Air Games, and ends on the last day of the last event before Ultimate Air Games. Our titles work on the honor system, whereby YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCURACY OF YOUR OWN TITLE. We will provide the data, allowing you to track and print your dogs titles at any time. Once your dog earns a title, you may add the titles abbreviation to the right of your dogs name. We do offer an official title, signed by Milt Wilcox (President of UAD), printed on a quality paper stock for $20. If you are interested in an official printed & mailed title, please use the contact us page to email us. NOTE: We make every effort to update the Titles file quarterly. These files are for the 2019 jumping season. If your dog is not listed in any of the files but you know that your dog has attended events since the above aforementioned event, you will need to go to the Events page, download and look at the results of the events that you've attended, and figure out where your dog stands as far as earning his or her title. All files are in Acrobat format. How to determine your dogs title: 1. Open the Legs Earned file (from the table below) for either the Long or Short Dock (if your dog has never jumped off the short dock, he/she will not be in that file), and/or open any of the IT-GAME files. (Note at the end of the files, we've included the same list again, but sorted by score.)
2. Find your dog in the file, and write down the number of legs in each division earned. Let's say that Fido has 4 legs in Novice, 16 legs in Junior, and 6 legs in Senior; as well as 5 legs in Master Elite Fetch-It... write all of that down. Now it's time to do some math! Since we know that you need 4 legs in a division, we can forget Novice for now... (if somewhere within the year your dog earns a Novice leg, you will then be able to print a Novice title... but let's rejoice that your dog keeps getting better!) Fido has 16 legs in Junior, and 6 legs in Senior... so he has earned 2 titles. Here is where the math comes in. For each 5 legs, a Roman numeral is earned. So Fido didn't just get a Junior title, Fido earned a Junior III title. With only 6 legs in Senior, his Senior title is solely a Senior title for now, but as he adds legs, you will add Roman numerals. His Fetch-It (as well as Chase-It and Catch-It work the same) title works the same way - he will have a Master Elite Fetch-It title to round it out. 3. Next, find the Title Template(s) that fits your dog from the table below, download it, print it, fill it out, and dance around it... or just frame it if you have bad knee..., or don't want to make a fool out of yourself! ***** NOTE ***** Add short and long dock legs together... i.e. If your dog has 4 legs in Novice on the long dock, and 1 leg in Novice on the short dock, then Congrats, your dog has a Novice title!
